A very nice place in the Black Forest

Great starting point for hikes or walks, whether summer or winter. Also very good as a motorcycle stop.

A very nice rustic cabin with great food. Opposite you can take great walks in the forest and there is a nice viewing platform

We ate here three times in three weeks. The down-to-earth dishes and desserts were, without exception, tasty and well worth their price. The service (young man) always served us extremely friendly and attentive. Highly deserved 5 *****

I find it very interesting how people think negatively about this wonderful restaurant. Just because some people don't get along with the corona ordinance, behave like in the nursery and annoy guests and staff. We go to the Kniebishütte regularly and are extremely satisfied.

Not recommended. Service disaster and overwhelmed. There were seven of us on the sun terrace. 2 orders were forgotten, one coffee delivered too many that was not ordered, Black Forest cherry only average. It's not a cake but slices and made better by every baker in northern Germany.

We've been there twice now. Before and since Corona. The staff always friendly and quick. Food tasty, but not cheap. Great view. It was a pleasure.

As for this place, we were repeat offenders on our vacation because we ate here several times. We think the rump steak and the dumpling plate with three kinds of dumplings are particularly recommended. The ambience is extremely appealing and the prices reasonable

The food was okay, but the menu indicated a salad with the ingredient "prawns". We didn't know it was shrimp. The note to the waitress, that the reference to shrimp would have been appropriate (is not necessarily known for the "out of the country" because the word comes from the French), would be dismissed by the waitress Stefanie pampigly with "that had nothing to do with rural to do ", then she was already gone. Customer service is different.

Food and location are great. However, we were left standing for a very long time before we were shown to our place. Clear the dishes and look around haphazardly in the area was probably more important ..

Nice cabin with a wonderful view from the terrace. The menu offers a number of regional specialties. The staff tries very hard to comply with the hygiene regulations. Waiting times for the allocation of a seat must be expected, especially on a good weather Sunday.

The food was very tasty and the service from Friedrich (our waiter) was excellent!

Very nice location, with an unobstructed view of the Black Forest. Nice card with something for everyone. Very friendly staff. Good food delicious cakes and ice cream. Gladly again and again. Clean.

The hut and food was great but my partner having a rapeseed allergy is always a battle. We asked what ingredients were in the cake, as many bakers use softend butter which contains rapeseed oil, despite the menu stating to ask we were told she had no idea they were bought in. Not homemade as stated on the menu. Unfortunately due to rapeseed not being recognised as an allergen it was not in the allergy list. Also they did not have lactose free milk.

We stopped here on our way to the Schwarzwaldhochstraße for a bathroom break and ended up having lunch. I had the goulash and an extra order of sausage+potato salad. Both were good, especially the refreshing cucumber potato salad! My sister got the homemade meatballs with mushroom gravy, and wow! That was amazing. Would love to try that again someday if we’re ever passing through :) bonus points for having a menu in English!

The restaurant does not offer an english menu and the service is awful - the waiter took forever to treat us although the restaurant was not full and was highly unprofessional. The food was ok
